Vehicle owners in Uzbekistan will be able to monitor the operation of gas stations through a special application.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. The Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan, Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, presented a mobile application project that will allow vehicle owners to track the operation of gas stations (GS) and the availability of gas in real-time, reports Podrobno.uz correspondent.

Mirzamakhmudov emphasized that the implementation of new digital solutions will significantly simplify the lives of vehicle owners during the winter season when gas demand traditionally increases in Uzbekistan. This leads to gas shortages and long queues at gas stations.

"We will soon launch a mobile application that will help users see in real-time which gas stations have gas and which do not. This solution aims to allow people to plan their trips in advance and avoid unnecessary waiting at closed stations," the minister noted.

The application will cover over 1,200 gas stations across Uzbekistan. Users will have access to data on gas availability and when gas is expected to arrive at specific stations. This will help people refuel their vehicles without unnecessary worries and queues.

Free and accessible to all

The application is being developed in collaboration with local IT companies and will be available for download soon. It will be free for vehicle owners and gas stations. Gas stations may voluntarily connect to the system, providing data about their operations.

"We do not impose connection, but I am confident that this application will significantly improve the level of service and interaction between gas stations and customers," Mirzamakhmudov believes.

The application will also feature a function to display the current operating hours of each station and its level of congestion. This way, users can choose the most suitable gas stations based on their location and the time of day.

Transparency in gas station operations

The new system will also enhance the transparency of gas station operations. Thanks to the application, users will be able to receive prompt and accurate information, significantly reducing the load on stations and the number of complaints from vehicle owners.

The Minister of Energy noted that the operations of gas stations will be more transparent and accessible to all citizens, especially during peak periods.

Digitalization of the industry

Mirzamakhmudov reported that the implementation of the application is just part of a broader program for the digitalization of Uzbekistan’s energy sector. The Ministry of Energy plans to further expand the use of digital technologies to improve interaction with consumers and enhance the efficiency of the industry.

It is also noted that the project has received support not only domestically but also internationally. Many countries facing similar issues in the energy sector have already implemented such digital solutions, and Uzbekistan aims to adopt successful practices.
