In the process of natural gas production at the fields, the human factor is reduced to the maximum extent possible

At a briefing held at the Agency for Information and Mass Communications (AIMC), the work carried out within the framework of the E-KON production digitalization project, as well as the current progress, were covered in detail.

As part of the Digital Field concept, the E-KON project is being successfully implemented at the fields of Uzbekneftegaz JSC. This innovative digital project is aimed at automating the process of monitoring and managing wells. Thanks to the system, it became possible to online manage the operating modes and productivity of fields.
For example, the digitalization of the Yuzhny Kemachi field made it possible to reduce gas losses by 3%, which led to additional production of 28 million cubic meters of gas annually.
In 2020, the implementation of the project was entrusted to UzLITIneftegaz JSC, a company with extensive experience in this field. Currently, more than 4,500 devices for measuring pressure and temperature have been installed at the Shurtan, Mubarak, Gazli and Vodiy fields. These devices record and record well operation data every 5 minutes. For this purpose, 86 base communication stations were installed. All wells are digitalized and connected to a single monitoring system.
A new position of operator engineer has been introduced at gas collection points, who is responsible for managing digital processes at wells.
At the next stage, it is planned to install equipment for measuring gas flow and its primary preparation at 80 additional collection points. This data will be collected, analyzed and managed through a single software system.
The implementation of this system has made it possible to minimize the human factor in the gas production process. After the system is implemented at all fields of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, specialists will be able to make more prompt decisions on production optimization, which will take oil and gas operations to a new level.
