Uzbekneftegaz JSC and Schlumberger have signed an agreement on managing the fields in the Ustyurt region.
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A Field Management Agreement for the Ustyurt region was signed between Uzbekneftegaz JSC and Schlumberger.
As part of the 27th International Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference of Uzbekistan – OGU 2025, taking place in Tashkent from 13 to 15 May 2025, Uzbekneftegaz JSC (UNG) and the international oilfield services company Schlumberger (SLB) signed a Field Management Agreement for the Ustyurt region.
The document envisions a new cooperation format — the creation of a Joint Project Management Team, which will be responsible for executing strategic tasks aimed at sustainable development, increasing production efficiency, and implementing advanced oil and gas asset management technologies.
The signing of this agreement marks an important step in strengthening the partnership between Uzbekneftegaz and Schlumberger, demonstrating the mutual interest of both parties in long-term, technology-oriented cooperation. The new format will allow for faster decision-making, the adoption of global best practices, and the transfer of technologies and expertise.
