Prospects for cooperation with the World Bank on environmentally sustainable development were discussed

During the meeting with the World Bank, the parties discussed the implementation of promising joint projects under the Global Flaring and Methane Reduction Program (GFMR), aimed at reducing associated gas flaring and methane emissions.

During the dialogue, the parties exchanged views on initiatives to reduce associated gas flaring in the oil and gas industry, cut methane emissions, introduce advanced technologies into production processes, and ensure environmental sustainability.

The parties considered prospects for jointly implementing projects aimed at applying international experience and innovative solutions, improving energy efficiency, and reducing the carbon footprint.

This cooperation is one of the key areas of the consistent reforms being carried out by JSC "Uzbekneftegaz" to improve production processes in line with modern environmental requirements, reduce methane emissions, and accelerate the green transformation.
