At the Ferghana oil refinery, the production of Jet A1 aviation fuel was launched

Uzbekistan, Tashkent - AN Podrobno.uz. The Ferghansky oil refinery began serial production of Jet A1 aviation fuel with the addition of synthetic kerosene produced at the Uzbekistan GTL enterprise. The implementation of the project will increase the share of the internal coating of demand for aviation kerosene in Uzbekistan from current 40-50 % to 70–80 %.

The project operator is Saneg JetWhites, which specializes in the sale of aviation fuel of both domestic and imported production. To implement the project, the company`s specialists developed a phased plan and entered into an agreement with the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin for conducting technological approvals and testing samples of a semi -synthetic airline. Studies were conducted according to a set of qualification assessment methods adopted in international practice.

According to the results of the tests, positive conclusions and recommendations for launching industrial production were obtained. This made it possible to obtain the official approval of the aviation administration of the republic for the use of semi-synthetic kerosene Jet A-1, produced at the Ferghana Oil Refinery, for refueling aircraft of civil aviation vessels.

Jet A1 is a mixture of a synthetic component (40 %) produced at the Uzbekistan GTL factory, and the traditional fuel Jet A1 (60 %) produced at the Ferghana refinery. This combination provides high operational characteristics: improved quality of combustion, thermo -oxidative stability and compliance with international standards, and most importantly, allows you to increase the production volumes of aircraft in Uzbekistan by more than 60 %.

"The development of the production of semi -synthetic airlines JET A1 is a significant step towards increasing the country`s fuel security. We intend to close most of the internal demand for aviation kerosene and reach a qualitatively new level in terms of product techniques," commented on the director of Saneg Jetwhites Azizbek Gayupov.

At the first stage, production volumes are up to 10 thousand tons per month with a growth prospect of up to 20–25 thousand tons at the second stage.
