Uzbekistan, like many other countries, is striving to create a more sustainable and productive energy system for future generations.
The Uzbekistan Energy Week is part of the global movement towards sustainable energy, which seeks to ensure a secure and stable energy transition. Throughout the event key issues will be discussed including the development of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, infrastructure improvements, and the development of new technologies.
Traditionally, the UNG-YOUTH MARATHON, a race for young people in the energy and oil and gas industries, opens the events.
The central event of the Energy Week will be the Plenary Session - "Harmonisation of Energy Policy in line with Uzbekistan's National Strategy", after which discussions will continue at G2B and B2B meetings.
The Energy Week events will bring together 450 companies and brands, 50 speakers, moderators and over 1,200 delegates. Significant interest in these events has led to a wide geography of participants - 31 countries: Austria, Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Great Britain, Germany, Georgia, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Monaco, Netherlands, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Türkiye, the UAE, United Kingdom, United States, Uzbekistan.
We would also like to note the national pavilions: China, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Republic of Korea, Turkiye and the collective participation of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
The event's sponsor line-up is very representative and is headed by the General sponsor Uzbekneftegaz JSC: Acwa Power, Masdar, Honeywell UOP, Rosatom, Nedra Digital and OilTech, Bureau Veritas, EMK Steel Trade, Rosen Group, Schneider Electric. Many of them will be presenting their own stands.
At the stand of Uzbekneftegaz JSC all divisions of the company will be represented, providing a full overview of their activities. In addition, B2B meetings are planned, where participants will be able to discuss potential co-operation and opportunities for future project development.
The Platinum sponsor, Acwa Power, is an international company known for its innovative projects in the field of energy and water supply. In Uzbekistan, Acwa Power is actively introducing advanced technologies and implementing major projects - their total investment in energy projects in the country reaches $7.5bn. Their participation in the exhibition will be a great opportunity to learn about their innovative developments and successful implemented projects in Uzbekistan.
The Gold sponsor, Rosatom is the only company in the world with a complete set of competences in the nuclear fuel cycle from uranium mining to nuclear facilities management.
At the stand of the Silver sponsors, Nedra Digital and OilTech, one may seize the opportunity to learn about the experience of experts in the field of oil and gas development, development and production, stable and uninterrupted supplies of the entire range of petroleum products.

The Brand partner of the event - Rosen Group - offers comprehensive solutions for asset integrity management at all stages of the process chain of industrial facilities.
The flagship event of the Uzbekistan Energy Week is the 26th International Exhibition "Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan - OGU". It was OGU, which dates back to 1997, that gave impetus to the organisation of related exhibitions and profile conferences, which have now transformed into the Uzbekistan Energy Week. It should be noted that in today's realities, without detracting from the importance of the "green transition", which requires many years of effort, the demand for hydrocarbon raw materials remains high. At the same time, Uzbekistan is working hard to improve exploration and production methods in order to reduce environmental impact. The OGU exhibition exposition widely presents samples of modern equipment, advanced technologies and innovations that are increasingly used in the oil and gas industry.
The companies of the German national stand (7 companies), as well as Italy under the auspices of the Italian-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce CIUZ (15 companies) are represented at the exhibition with a wide range of activities: from tool manufacturing to drone development, from supply of technologies for the oil and gas industry to international forwarding activities and production of industrial fittings, complex protective systems.
The Republic of Bashkortostan, the Orel and Moscow regions of the Russian Federation are making a collective appearance. Their stands will offer compressor equipment, combined polypropylene-steel ropes, hoisting mechanisms and detachable load-carrying devices, gas flow measurement devices, innovative fire-fighting equipment, electronic equipment for in-line diagnostics and pipeline cleaning, and much more.
Domestic companies, including Uzbekneftegaz JSC, Shelf Vostok, Arena Int Trade, Asman Energy, IMeter, Prista Trading And Packaging, Innova Electric And Measurement Instrumentation, Rapsystem, Terabayt Texno Servis, will also present their products. These are: equipment for petrol stations, CNG stations, CNG filling stations, oil depots and liquefied gas storage bases, lubricants, motor and industrial oils for passenger cars, trucks (special vehicles) and industrial sector, ultrasonic gas meters, gas analysing equipment, dispensers for compressed natural gas, fuel, liquefied petroleum gas and other equipment.
The energy sector plays a crucial role in the modern world, be it economic, social or other spheres, because their functioning is impossible without electricity. Currently, large-scale work on transition to "green economy" is being carried out globally, the cornerstone of which should be "clean energy". These processes are actively supported in our country. The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev has set a task to increase the share of renewable energy sources in the total volume of generation from the current 10 to 25 per cent by 2030. At the same time, the existing energy facilities are being modernised, diversified and technologically upgraded. The above-mentioned factors are aimed at achieving energy independence of the country and providing the economy and population with electricity.
In this regard, the 17th International Exhibition " Energy, Energy Saving, Alternative Energy Sources - Power Uzbekistan 2024" and the specialised section "Green Energy Technologies - GETCA 2024" occupies its important niche in the development of the industry and will present innovations and the latest technological solutions for both traditional and alternative energy. Power Uzbekistan, as the leading exhibition event for the energy sector in the region, has once again surpassed the performance of previous years, bringing together the industry's leading manufacturers and developers.
The Republic of Korea will be represented by a National Stand, with companies exhibiting various expansion joints (metallic, non-metallic, teflon, rubber, etc.) used in the energy industry, solar street lights, solar thermal collector, energy management system, rubber foam insulation materials, folding retractable devices for solar power generation and more.
We would like to mention the exposition of Turkish companies, which are participating in the National Pavilion format for the third consecutive year. 14 companies will present high-efficiency solutions for biomass power plants, steam boilers, thermal oil boilers, power distribution systems, petrol, diesel, natural gas and marine generating sets, environmentally friendly technologies for a sustainable, carbon-neutral and greener world.
Indonesia's national stand will consist of seven companies presenting cable products, energy equipment, household appliances and much more.
Undoubtedly, visitors will also be interested in the products of PRC companies, whose wide participation is already becoming a tradition. The stands will offer a wide range of solar panels, inverters, surge protection devices, cable products, high-voltage vacuum circuit breakers, transformers and much more.
Domestic companies are also represented at the exhibition: Nura group, Solar Nature, Uzelectroapparat, Techno Cable Group, Artikul Azia. They will present transformers, cable and conductor products made of copper and aluminium with various types of insulation, as well as complex solutions: from design and commissioning to commissioning.
The business programme of the Uzbekistan Energy Week will include the 26th International Conference – OGU 2024 and the 4th International Energy Conference, which will be held on 14-15 May at the International Hotel Tashkent. The two-day conference will be extremely rich in presentations, expert community opinions and interesting discussions.
The Uzbekistan Energy Week will also include socially significant events prepared by the general sponsor Uzbekneftegaz JSC: an intellectual game "Zakovat", a video clip contest, the presentation of the 3D animated cartoon series "Kuvvat", the specialist’s IT-potential Hackathon, the awarding of the finalists of “The Best Startup and Rationalisation Proposal” contest and many others.
